The Crosby

Yesterday was “caravan” day in the Crosby. Team Manion toured at least a dozen homes that were on the market. One lovely single level was located on the golf course and gets an occasional golf ball weekly in its grassy yard.  Another we say was like walking into a European villa with beautiful rose gardens, mural painted ceilings, and distant views of the mountains beyond. It is so much fun to see all the different styles and layouts of Spanish architecture in this community.

LISTED: There are 30 custom and semi custom homes on the market at this time They start in the price range of $1,300,000 and go as high as $5,995,000. You may find anywhere between 3100 square feet of living space up to 8100 square feet.

Some have views of the golf course, and others garden or mountain views.

PENDING: There are 6 in the pending status under contracrt.

SOLD: Year to date there have been 23 solds ranging from $1,168,000 to $3,850,000.

General Overview of The Crosby

The Crosby is a beautiful gated community of about 722 acres featuring 443 custom and semi-custom homes. This master-planned community is located just east of Rancho Santa Fe 5 miles west of Interstate 15, and 12 miles east of Interstate 5. The luxurious community gets its name from Bing Crosby, the famous American singer, and actor who in the 1930’s lived in the historic setting of Rancho Santa Fe. All of the streets are named after one of his popular hit songs.  The community has over 190 acres of open space. It is one of the five local communities designed as a “shelter-in-place” meaning that during a fire, the entire community is designed to withstand heat and flames from an approaching wildfire. 

What does one do there for fun? Lots! They have a restaurant, snack bars, 18 hole golf course, a community swimming pool, tennis courts, gym, and hiking trails. There are various small parks scattered throughout for family enjoyment.
